from 1949 to 1989 germany was split in two parts, the old West German states (west) and the German Democratic Republic (east). after 18 years there is still a rivalry between the people from both sides. almost everyone has some prejudices in his mind. i often see people in forums, at youtube or in chats which argue against each other who's the best german and how stupid the others are. and there is no difference in the foolishness between the "Wessis" and "Ossis". it's tragic that the people won't understand that we are one nation. isn't it much sweeter to keep together than to discuss all the time.
